This year has been business as usual for the Northern Ireland region of the MG Owners’ Club.  The first event tabled as a ‘warm up’ run was held in early April quickly followed by the run to Hill of the O’Neill in Dungannon.

The weekend event was held in May and twenty five cars made the two hundred mile journey to Galway for what proved a good choice of venue and very reasonably priced at around £240 for four nights dinner bed and breakfast staying in the Clayton Hotel.

Once again June proved a very busy month with four major events held including Kilbroney, one of the largest Vintage Vehicle Show in Ireland.  July and August being holiday months did see a few less events but attendance at each was exceptional with usually over twenty cars out.

September weather wise was pleasant surprise and most soft tops were down and even on the final laying up run on the 28th was well supported with twenty five cars out and over 60 members sitting down to a great evening meal.

Overall the club held over 25 events throughout 2014 and with the current plans laid down for the 2015 season this number will be exceeded.

The annual Charity Quiz held in February resulted in the Chairman’s selected charities, The Donkey Sanctuary and Brain Waves, benefiting to the extent of £800 each.

The Clayton Hotel donated a weekend for two and this will be offered as a prize in a Photograph Competition the results of which will be published in the New Year.
